Key People

Darcie Rae

Founder & Executive Director

GetSetInc was founded in 2016, an educational nonprofit, based in Idaho. Our mission is to engage K12 learners, in exploration and innovation with technology, throughout Idaho, outside of regular school experiences.

I have a passion for learning and teaching. I have had the pleasure to work as a software trainer for IBM, Microsoft, Intel, and Micron. As a certified classroom History teacher, I have taught in California, Washington, Massachusetts and Idaho. I enjoy working with teachers to integrate technology in the classroom and engage students in learning. I was awarded my Doctorate from Boise State University in 2015, in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Educational Technologies, matriculating after several years from Seattle University.

I am delighted to have returned to my hometown of Boise, where I was born and raised!

Rae Bradley

Camp Director

I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors in Accounting. I have worked with the Idaho Steelheads in the past to produce video features for the team and community alike and have continued to develop this passion while working at GetSet. I have been coordinating events behind the scenes and working as a Guardian at our inaugural camp. This year I will once again be coordinating events as well as working at camp, this time as the Director. I am confident that with my experience and passion for camp it will be a success once again.

Brian Fischer

Camp Mentor

I’m a fourth-grade teacher and Digital Integration lead at Eagle Hills Elementary in Eagle, Idaho. I am an educator of 17 years and have taught third, fourth, and sixth grades. I attended the University of Idaho and have a Bachelors of Arts in History and a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. One of my goals in education is to help students become lifelong independent learners who can adapt to an ever-changing world.  Student based project learning and technology is a critical component of this and I’m excited to be a member of the GetSet team and share my passion for technology. It is going to be a great week of creating imaginative projects using stop motion, animation, and green screen effects to add to your stories.

Dirk Myers

Camp Mentor

I’m a 6th grade math teacher and student council leader at Sawtooth Middle School in Meridian, Idaho.  I’ve been an educator for 14 years and I’ve taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. I attended Boise State University and Western Governors University in Utah and have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. My goal for my students is to become critical thinkers with an internal desire to learn.  This is accomplished by encouraging risks, questioning the status quo, and celebrating mistakes.  Failure needs to be viewed as a building block of success. I look forward to meeting you soon. Be ready to have some fun.
