Overnight Camp: June 23th - 28th 2019
GETSET offers a week long summer camp from June 23th - 28th at Boise State University for campers entering grades 5th - 11th in 2019. We are dedicated to teaching with technology as a tool and provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) experiences through exploration.
We strive to increase students’ college and career readiness, and 21st century digital skills with summer camp fun. We believe students learn best when meaningfully engaged in creating their own learning experiences and projects. GETSET strives to inspire a love of life long learning and teaching throughout the state of Idaho and the communities we serve.
Our camp location at Boise State University campus provides extensive resources, technology experts, and a 1:10 student to facilitator ratio enabling students to develop thoughtful and complex projects.
Our camp day is packed with activities around Boise State campus and nearby downtown Boise. Extensive walking and outdoor time is part of our camp experience. We engage in activities at the Discovery Center, Boise Library, JumpTime and this year the Idaho State Museum.
Additionally, after morning field trips, students will be able to explore, reflect and create in areas of their own interests by choosing afternoon sessions of interest.
Sessions to choose from during camp include:
- Movie Making or
- Game Development
